No, I'm Not Dead. [Oct. 28th, 2005|08:10 pm]

Updates since last time:

-A week off work due to burnout.
-Four days in Las Vegas doing manual labor and chauffeuring (don't ask).
-General decline in interest in Naruto.
-Copious amounts of Prince of Tennis, Tsubasa, xxxHolic, etc reading.
-Muse decides she is now supplying nothing but ideas for original fics/books.
-Beginning the writing of said book(s).
-Too much batting cage swinging resulting in jacked-up left (writing) shoulder.
-Attempt to continue Naruto fics progressing - slowly.

So no, I'm not dead. I'm just working on things that I'm not entirely sure people here would be interested in and that I need to think about copyrighting before I post.

Wow, it has been a while since we've heard from you. I know what you mean by the original fic thing, though in my case it's not a loss of interest in my fandoms so much as the thought "shouldn't I be spending this much effort on something of my vewy vewy own?" keeps coming up.

Welcome to the club "Writting book/Orig instead of fanfic", there's quite a few fanfic writters in this club :) Ah well, I hope ya will get over it, but if I can say so, writting Orig is realy interesting, and it will be burning all yer free time, trust me, I'm a proof to it =^-_-^=

Yeah, Naruto as a series seems to be declining ever since the Valley of the End thing...Haven't watched the anime since episode 140 or so cause I can't stomache the oh so crappy fillers and I've lost interest in the manga ever since Gaara was killed off so easy (he was my favorite character. Bastards)

Interesting to hear that you're doing your own thing for writing. Don't suppose you can give any details at all? At least a genre?

Sucks to hear bout the shoulder, hope it's healin alright.

Manage to have any fun amongst the work in Vegas? Seems like a waste if you were there and didn't get to cheerfully blow any cash on games or assorted etc.

hum, naruto is declining eversince the tsunade arc, in fact even some of the chunin part wasn't that good... (backflashes....). Apart from that, good to hear from you :-)
Can't wait to read any one of your fic , or your original work....

Fair 'nuff. When someone suddenly disappears, one tends to assume the worst ^^

Incidentally, in regards to copyright... basic copyright is automatic. You write it, it's copyrighted. The active form is a "registered" copyright. The difference is that if someone violates a basic copyright, you can hit them for damage done. For a registered, you can add in court costs and punitive damages.

Re: No, I'm Not Dead.

I'm glad you are not dead and I understand how things can get hectic trust me. But I in my humble opinion just want to let you know that I am still interested in 'bloodlines', 'set in stone', 'seven against the world', 'cool as a fox' and especially 'wild oats' hell the last one alone got me interested in pokegirls so that I have been trying to find so more stories about them but can't find any. I have a difficult situation going on in my life right now and yet me reading your fics let me relax and think about how I can change things around hell I started to write my damn self and it's nothing like what you or kraken's ghost can and have written but I still wanted to try and I did.

Long story short be positive and try and if you do copyright your works just let me know if you will publish them I would pay to finish reading them.

Glad to know you didn't die from overwork. Or from some giant meteor that just happened to land in the exact spot you were in while waiting to cross the street. Well, if you ever do publish work, please be kind and tell us the title so that we may see your original work.

He lives!

Nice to see you're still alive, kicking, and updating your LJ. While I primarily watch for new fanfic material it is interesting to see what other people do in their free time. As for the original story/writing stuff go for it. Ever since I started writing fanfiction my goal has been to eventually graduate to original stuff and even someday (far far in the future) try to get something published. I hope you let us have a peek at what you're working on before you go and register a copyright and start publishing ^_^.
